Start on the line and draw a short curve to the left, like a shallow bowl. Lift the pen. Then place one dot under the middle of the bowl. The dot comes second, not first.

On the tracing sheet, write the bowl ten times before you add dots. When the shape is steady, add the dot on the last five.
